About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee overall operations and processes within front-end Revenue Cycle coordination
  • Track workflow functions daily and implement solutions to meet turnaround times
  • Prioritize workflow and staffing assignments
  • Maintain statistical information for optimal staff scheduling and customer service
  • Report operating process issues to the Patient Access Manager
  • Maintain and help develop policies and procedures
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate goals, objectives, policies, and procedures with leadership and peers
  • Evaluate staff performance and productivity, identify deficiencies, report trends, and take appropriate action
  • Coordinate pre-registration, pre-certification, pre-authorization, payer notification, insurance verification, financial counseling, referrals, point-of-care collections, training, and denial avoidance
  • Coordinate staff onboarding and in-services and validate competencies
  • Assist employees with computer software and process project implementations
  • Create and maintain staff schedules in accordance with budget
  • Assist with reimbursement guidelines for government and private providers
  • Build cooperative working relationships with physician office staff, hospital departments, physicians, and co-workers
  • Provide leadership with timely information regarding Patient Access processes, staffing, and customer service issues
  • Interview, hire, develop, train, retain, assign, lead, appraise, reward, coach, and resolve employee complaints and problems

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's or equivalent experience in areas of Business, Health Information Management, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of front-end revenue cycle supervisory/leadership experience in a large healthcare setting
  • 1-3 years of proven experience managing multiple projects and personnel management effectively
  • Ability to work the hours specified, including possible weekends, evenings, and holidays
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Compliance with safety principles, laws, regulations, and standards associated with CMS, The Joint Commission, DHHS, and OSHA if applicable
