About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide outpatient general cardiology care for established patients in Mitchell and surrounding outreach communities
- Assess and manage recheck patients
- Support North Central Heart cardiologists during Mitchell outreach clinics
- Independently conduct follow-up outreach visits after an NCH physician has established the patient treatment plan
- Review diagnostic results
- Provide patient education
- Collaborate with NCH cardiologists to promote safe, coordinated, patient-centered cardiovascular care
Requirements
What you’ll need- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Current or eligible South Dakota licensure as a Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Current BLS certification required
- Cardiology, internal medicine, or related clinical experience preferred
- ACLS and prescriptive authority/DEA registration preferred or required as applicable to the role
