About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for operating MRI equipment to make clinical diagnostic images as directed by physicians.
Performs routine diagnostic procedures according to established standards and procedures.
Prepares patients and adjusts equipment for performing MRI.
Positions and instructs patients regarding procedures.
Is competent with IV injections for the administration of IV contrast media.
Performs MRI procedures accurately and efficiently and according to established standards.
Coordinates daily schedules for efficiency and assesses exam completion.
Assists with staff/student on-the-job training and orientation.
Maintains all records/reports required for the MRI area (i.e. patient records, volume records and equipment records).

Requirements

What you’ll need

Associate's or equivalent from a 2 year college or technical school or hospital-based Radiologic Technology Program
Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Upon Hire and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Upon Hire
Less than 1 year
Thorough knowledge of radiologic and MRI terminology, practices and procedures, physiology and human anatomy
