Manager – Home Medical Equipment
Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center. Manage the Watertown and Huron, SD HME branches.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the Watertown and Huron, SD HME branches.
- Oversee daily on site branch operations, including inventory control, equipment maintenance, and patient delivery logistics.
- Hire, train, and evaluate staff to ensure all required competencies are achieved and maintained.
- Ensure ongoing learning and annual competencies are met.
- Proactively identify and resolve operational issues and develop improved methods to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with the Avera@Home HME leadership team on annual budget preparation, including revenue and expense projections.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources, physicians, and health systems to support growth and retention.
- Partner with the leadership team to ensure consistent implementation of policies, procedures, protocols, and standard work, driving ongoing efficiency and cost reduction efforts.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's from a college or university
- 2 or more years of DME/HME related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Drivers License - Licensing Board
- A valid driver's license and that the employee is insurable by Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.
