About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Monitor and support Security Operations Center (SOC) activities in a 24/7 shift environment
- Perform continuous security monitoring, event analysis, and incident detection
- Respond to and manage security incidents following established incident response procedures
- Monitor, analyze, and investigate security alerts generated by SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) platforms
- Perform log monitoring, analysis, and management to identify potential security threats and anomalies
- Escalate and document security incidents in accordance with operational procedures
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely resolution of operational and security issues
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience with Windows and Linux system administration
- Strong understanding of security principles and best practices
- Experience working with ticketing system/s
- Solid knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills in a multi-user environment
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
