About the role

  • Build, monitor, and maintain production machine learning models
  • Build infrastructure to iteratively update models and detect distribution shifts
  • Monitor data distribution shifts and adjust models accordingly
  • Architect systems, participate in design reviews, and perform code reviews
  • Build targeting models for Direct Mail Channel
  • Build risk models using credit bureau data and Aven customers' performance data
  • Build pricing and product relevance models
  • Build models to automate back-office document processing and tasks
  • Contribute to company strategy and identify data-driven opportunities

Requirements

  • Built product models from idea to delivery
  • Passionate about digging into data, cleaning it, and analyzing it
  • Led large technically complex projects with many moving parts
  • Experience with disparate systems
  • Experience with production-grade compilers, operating systems, or large distributed systems
  • Ability to jump into a new environment with minimal hand-holding
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and building answers iteratively
  • Thrives in collaborative environments and cross-functional discussions
  • Willingness to dive deep into system/process details
  • Familiarity with AWS
  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL
  • Familiarity with Typescript
  • Familiarity with Python
  • Familiarity with VueJS
