About the role

  • Certification & Testing: Lead the coordination and hands-on execution of testing at the Joint Interoperability Test Center (JITC) at Fort Huachuca.
  • Cybersecurity Hardening: Manually and via automated tools (e.g., SteelCloud), "harden" Avaya software and hardware to meet DISA STIG requirements.
  • Home Lab Management: Establish and maintain a functional home-based interoperability lab (equipment provided) to validate 3rd-party integrations.
  • Strategic Consulting: Act as a technical advisor for the Federal CTO, participating in face-to-face customer meetings.
  • Cloud & FedRAMP Support: Provide technical consultation for Avaya’s on-premise and Cloud-based solutions.

Requirements

  • Technical Depth: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience configuring and installing Avaya Aura (CM, SM), Contact Center, and SBCs.
  • Protocol Expertise: Deep proficiency in SIP, Assured Services SIP (AS-SIP), H.323, Quality of Service (QoS), and Audio/Video Conferencing.
  • Federal Testing: Minimum 2 years of experience with JITC testing procedures and the US DoW Unified Communications Requirements (UCR) document.
  • Cybersecurity: Minimum 5 years of experience in STIG compliance and NIST-based cyber penetration testing.
  • Travel: Ability to travel to Sierra Vista, AZ multiple times per month (if not locally based).
