About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • You are the primary point of contact for all customer account management matters.
  • You negotiate contracts and finalize agreements to maximize profitability.
  • You build trusted advisory relationships with key accounts, client representatives, and executives.
  • You ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions in line with customer needs and objectives.
  • You forecast and track key metrics for major accounts (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts) and prepare account status reports.
  • You work with the sales team to identify and expand opportunities within the territory.
  • You assist with complex customer inquiries and escalate issues when necessary.
  • You maintain close relationships with partners, vendors, and suppliers where appropriate.
  • You stay up to date on internal and external developments in the e-commerce space to build solid knowledge of sellers and the industry.
  • You supervise and support the work of junior members of the Business Development team.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in business development – minimum 5 years.
  • University degree – BSc/BA in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English (spoken and written).
  • Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Organized with a proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Confident, professional, and personable with a positive attitude.
