About the role

  • Provide high-quality VAT consultancy and business advice to your client portfolio continuously.
  • Calculate and file European VAT returns meticulously and promptly, ensuring the highest level of accuracy.
  • Advise clients on VAT liabilities, guide them on tax payments, proactively remind them of outstanding returns, and ensure compliance with European filings, EC Sales, and Intrastat reporting as required.
  • Communicate with tax offices regarding clients’ accounts and obligations.
  • Conduct VAT audits/investigations in collaboration with tax offices related to your client portfolio.
  • Manage clients' accounts in coordination with the Credit Control Department.
  • Stay consistently updated with VAT law and any changes in legislation.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to build trust, rapport, and strong relationships within your portfolio.
  • Represent the company professionally at events/webinars.
  • Train, support, and develop new team members.
  • Collaborate positively and enthusiastically with the team.
  • Actively engage with Managers and Directors to suggest contributions for improving procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Italian VAT experience.
  • Experience working in Law/VAT/Accountancy/Finance.
  • Confident and excellent communication skills for client interaction and engagement (Email, Phone, and face to face).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organised and proven ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent multi-tasking ability.
  • Desirable: Experience or knowledge of International E-Commerce.
