About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Shape the architecture behind an ambitious payments roadmap in a complex banking environment.
Drive and facilitate architectural deliverables such as target architectures, transition architectures, architectural roadmaps, architectural runways and end-to-end flows.
Work closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Channel Owners and Development Teams on detailed solution design activities.
Guide technical decisions across payment channels, payments processing and reporting.
Present solution designs and architectural decisions to stakeholders at different levels.
Create direction in a large organization with many stakeholders and contribute across the wider payments area.
Work in environments that combine traditional waterfall project structures with Scaled Agile ways of working.

Requirements

What you’ll need

9+ years’ experience as a Payments Solution Architect.
Strong foundation in banking, financial services and payments products.
Proven ability to define and align architectural deliverables such as target architectures, transition architectures, architectural roadmaps, architectural runways and end-to-end flows.
Strong experience working in detailed solution design together with Business Analysts, Product Owners, Channel Owners and Development Teams.
Experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud, AWS, Azure or OpenShift, as well as DevOps.
Experience managing diverse stakeholders in large organizations and navigating ambiguity.
Experience working in both traditional waterfall Project Management and Scaled Agile environments.
Fluent in English.
