About the role

  • Work on SAP S/4HANA conversion projects and migrations to Azure cloud, including Lift-and-Shift and Replatforming strategies
  • Install, configure, administer and maintain SAP HANA environments, including performance monitoring and troubleshooting
  • Perform SAP technical upgrades and migrations
  • Act as a DBA for SAP applications based on Oracle and SAP HANA
  • Review solution requirements considering the current landscape and the post-migration state
  • Validate technical deliverables prior to system handover after migration
  • Anticipate, interpret and mitigate technical risks in the client landscape
  • Lead critical incident management discussions with clients and stakeholders, contributing to root cause analyses (RCA)
  • Implement and manage HANA database replication, as well as High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) scenarios
  • Perform cloud environment sizing
  • Execute technical installations of SAP components such as: SAP ERP, SCM, CRM, Fiori, Solution Manager, SLM, Portal, Process Orchestration (PO)
  • Configure and manage SAP load balancing
  • Work with SAP J2EE configurations
  • Work with SAP Change and Transport Management in hybrid landscapes during migrations
  • Perform performance tuning in SAP environments with Oracle and HANA databases
  • Apply downtime optimization techniques and performance improvements for HANA data migration loads

Requirements

  • Experience with SAP Basis
  • Strong, proven experience in SAP S/4HANA conversion
  • Experience with SAP migrations to Azure
  • Strong knowledge of SAP HANA database administration
  • Administration of Oracle databases for SAP
  • High Availability and Disaster Recovery for HANA
  • SAP technical migrations
  • Experience with complex and mission-critical SAP environments
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and business stakeholders
  • Analytical, proactive profile with strong capability in resolving critical issues
