About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsibility for VWR supplier brand consumable product portfolio performance
- Development & execution of portfolio strategy
- New product introductions and portfolio improvement projects
- Critical thinking and report-outs to support communication of performance to key business stakeholders
- Development of growth plans and new product pipeline for new Lab Consumables products
- Development of positioning and pricing strategy for existing and new Lab Consumables portfolios
- Responsibility for the development and commercialization of Lab Consumables new products
- Work closely with and provide support to key stakeholders in sales, marketing and operational functions to achieve growth targets
- Develop and implement portfolio productivity and cost improvement initiatives to drive margin expansion
- Problem solving within the portfolio using Avantor problem-solving tools
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a commercial, technical, portfolio, category or product management role within laboratory or life science products
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, including executive management
- Demonstrated ability of working effectively in a global and cross-functional organization
- Ability to create and implement business plans and strategies
- Ability to understand and apply industry and product economics to portfolio plans
- Ability to assess sales, margin, inventory investment, payment terms, return on sales, return on capital employed and EBITDA to improve financial performance
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and adapt to changing requirements
