About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide tactical and strategic support for the Avantor operations in Czechia, Romania, Hungary and Slovakia
  • Coordinate with relevant stake holders to create Safe System of Work (SSoW) for environmental, health and safety, security and sustainability activities
  • Develop a collaborative safety culture promoting safety as a personal value
  • Functions as Subject Matter Expert (SME) to the site Leadership Teams
  • Lead and develop topics in accordance with the EHSSS&S organization for the site
  • Conduct incident investigations supporting root cause analysis and barrier failure using ABS Group methodologies
  • Maintain and evaluate an up-to-date legal register specific to the site operations

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Relevant senior professional qualifications in sciences, occupational safety or related fields (> level 6 or equivalent)
  • A relevant environmental qualification
  • Lead auditor training (ISO 14001 and 45001)
  • Significant demonstratable experience within a global organisation in a multi geographic role
  • Languages: Hungarian or Czech fluent, English (C1)
