About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Report to the Supervisor of Operation Specialist
- Work closely with Avantor’s Lab and Production Services professionals
- Perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols
- Support multiple facilities and/or customers in a strategic geographic area
- Act as a backup to Coordinators, Technicians, Material Handlers, Glass Washers
- Coordinate and lead team efforts related to customer requirements
- Interface directly with customer Point-of-Contact, purchasing directors, facility directors, and plant managers
- Utilize Avantor and customer computer systems: SAP, Inventory Manager, Chemical Manager
- Train Avantor Lab and Production Services associates on all service offerings
- Provide SAP Support (Full customer services, credit rebills, and invoice scrubbing)
- Modify and maintain quality metrics and key performance indicators
- Manage a budget related to expense reports
- Meet revenue, TOE, safety, performance, and quality goals and objectives
- Create programs for enhanced service efficiencies
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED is required; Associates degree or undergraduate degree in a business or science-related field is a plus.
- 3+ years of experience in Inventory control/procurement/shipping and receiving/Inside Sales, etc.
- Microsoft Suite experience
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid driver's license is required
- Strong communication skills
- Previous experience working in a GMP facility is strongly desired
- Knowledge of Information Access and System ESS
- Forklift Certification is a plus
- Prior experience with VWR/Avantor products and services is a plus
- IATA, DOT, OSHA Right to Know, IMDG a plus
