About the role

  • Strategic design, governance, and continuous improvement of the ServiceNow platform.
  • Manage core ServiceNow modules (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB) and platform ownership.
  • Drive platform governance and ensure compliance with security and development standards.
  • Mentor support teams and developers; serve as primary escalation point for complex platform issues (L3 support).
  • Lead complex development efforts, integrations, and contribute to the platform roadmap.
  • Define and execute strategic roadmap for CMDB maturity, data quality frameworks, and automated reconciliation.
  • Lead design reviews and technical governance for ServiceNow development across teams.
  • Gather requirements, estimate effort, deliver enhancements, and document knowledge articles.
  • Automate manual processes and enable integrations using REST, SOAP, XML, AJAX and other technologies.
  • Champion platform architecture decisions to ensure maintainability, performance, and security.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience.
  • Certified Application Developer (CAD) certification required.
  • ITIL v3 or higher certification required.
  • Experience with core ServiceNow modules (Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB) required.
  • Proficiency in Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, Script Includes, Access Controls, and Service Portal.
  • Experience with CMDB management and data modeling.
  • Familiarity with web technologies (Bootstrap, AngularJS) and third-party integrations.
  • Experience with ITOM and HRSD modules is a strong plus.
  • Additional ServiceNow implementation certifications are a plus.
  • Deep understanding of ServiceNow architecture, data modeling, and application scoping.
  • Expert-level JavaScript and Glide API proficiency with hands-on experience in debugging and update set management.
  • Skilled in architecting scalable and normalized data models using custom tables, CMDB extensions, and Application Scoping.
  • Skilled in configuring Flow Designer, Scripted REST APIs, UI Policies, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Actions, UI Pages and Performance Analytics.
  • Ability to build interactive dashboards and reporting frameworks.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
