About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversees the day-to-day operations of a team of inventory and/or material management associates at customer facilities
- Sets daily goals and reviews team performance
- Identifies opportunities for improvement and adjusts workflows
- Communicates regularly with internal team members and stakeholders, as well as external contacts such as vendors
- Ensures compliance with global HBS standards and legal requirements
- Performs routine sample inventory operations, including sample receipt, registration, (re)labelling, tracking, dispatch, and disposal using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or equivalent required; Higher Education degree in supply chain, business, or life sciences preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in laboratory services, warehouse, logistics, or inventory management operations
- 2-3 years of formal supervisory experience with direct reports and full performance management responsibility
- Documented experience leading operational improvement initiatives
- Experience in a client-embedded services or regulated facility environment
- Proficiency with inventory management systems (SAP, Workday, LIMS, or equivalent), including reporting and analytics modules
- Intermediate Excel skills including pivot tables, lookup functions and basic data analysis
- Ability to analyze operational data and communicate findings to non-technical audiences
- Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
- Prior experience in a GMP-regulated environment strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to sit and work on a computer for extended periods
- Ability to walk through customer facilities during site visits
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs (12 kg)
