💰 $85,000 - $141,600 per year
About the role
- Work with business leaders on select projects and productivity process improvements aligned with business goals.
- Use analytical and industrial engineering methods to understand, predict, improve, create and/or control logistics operations and processes.
- This is a full-time remote/hybrid position with travel up to 25% and weekly onsite travel to Avantor distribution centers.
- Manage data: data management, performance analysis, identifying problems, and developing recommendations for logistics management.
- Data mining, data modeling, data analysis, cost/benefit analysis, process mapping and/or problem analysis.
- Research and benchmark industry best practices related to warehousing and transportation.
- Interact with process owners and users to obtain feedback and verify performance.
- Manage optimization of resources and processes in compliance with company policies.
- Write SOPs and training documents to establish standard work and develop documents for new processes and systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education: College Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience: 3+ years of directly applicable experience in a similar position.
- Additional Qualifications: SAP EWM experience desired. Proficiency using MS Office Suite including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word. Knowledge and successful implementation of Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement methods and Lean Logistics required.
- Requires excellent project and people management skills and a strong understanding of logistics.
- Ability to motivate associates using effective interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills.
- Must be a self-starter, detail oriented and able to manage vendor/business relationships.
- Excellent organizational, decision-making, problem identification and resolution skills.
