About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Oversees the day-to-day operations of a team of inventory and/or material management associates
Sets daily goals and reviews team performance
Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes adjustments to workflows
Communicates regularly with internal team members and stakeholders
Maintains an accurate and compliant inventory of samples and oversees all aspects of sample handling
Performs routine sample inventory operations using the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
Provides data manifests and (re) labels samples as applicable
Tracks all work-in-progress using specialised informatics systems

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent required; Higher Education degree in supply chain, business, or life sciences preferred
5-7 years of experience in laboratory services, warehouse, logistics, or inventory management operations
2-3 years of formal supervisory experience with direct reports and full performance management responsibility
Documented experience leading operational improvement initiatives
Experience in a client-embedded services or regulated facility environment
Proficiency with inventory management systems (SAP, Workday, LIMS, or equivalent) including reporting and analytics modules
Intermediate Excel skills including pivot tables, lookup functions and basic data analysis
Working knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
Valid driver's license required
