About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage a diverse territory and drive sales growth by providing Avantor solutions tailored to customers' needs
  • Prospect and acquire new customers through pipeline management, proposal development, and value-focused presentations
  • Grow relationships with existing customers through retention strategies aligned with their evolving needs
  • Provide a consultative sales approach by identifying needs, recommending solutions, and presenting Avantor's value proposition
  • Build and maintain lasting customer relationships that promote satisfaction and loyalty
  • Use resources, marketing tools, and processes effectively to execute sales strategies
  • Work closely with the sales management team to implement plans aimed at revenue and profitability growth
  • Partner with manufacturer representatives to deepen product knowledge, secure competitive pricing, and support account growth
  • Represent Avantor’s mission and adhere to Avantor’s Code of Conduct
  • Perform other related duties as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • 1+ year in a complex, solutions-focused sales environment involving multiple stakeholders
  • B2B sales experience preferred; a strong asset: experience in distribution or laboratory/research settings
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with customers, manufacturer representatives, management, and internal specialists
  • Ability to confidently engage with business owners and decision-makers
  • Excellent time-management skills and the ability to work independently while effectively managing a territory
  • Strong analytical abilities and strategic selling skills
  • Ability to understand and adapt to each customer's operations and needs
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with a CRM is an asset
  • Bilingual in French and English (spoken and written) required to support communication with customers, suppliers, and Avantor colleagues outside Quebec
  • Valid, full driver's license
  • Availability to visit customers at least 3 days per week
  • Ability to travel to the United States for annual sales conferences and occasional training
