About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Receive and distribute dry ice deliveries to laboratory teams.
- Perform weekly and annual inspections of all eyewash stations.
- Manage gas cylinders, including weekly and as-needed changeouts.
- Operate and maintain glasswash and autoclave services.
- Oversee inventory management across all point-of-use (POU) locations.
- Monitor, maintain, and adjust inventory stocking levels based on usage trends and demand fluctuations.
- Conduct monthly and/or quarterly meetings with lab managers and lab contacts to review inventory management (IM) lab lists.
- Review and monitor backorders daily.
- Coordinate onsite pipette calibration services.
- Submit purchase requisitions through eMarketplace.
- Manage ARIBA accounts, including troubleshooting invoice mismatches and system issues.
- Maintain and reconcile inherited blanket purchase orders (POs) to ensure funding aligns with invoiced charges.
- Follow up on shipping delays or supply-chain issues and liaise with the Avantor customer service team as needed.
- Transport samples between 2 building within walking distance.
- Receive all site deliveries, including packages, pallets, and freight, at the loading dock.
- Deliver packages to appropriate personnel and ensure temperature-sensitive shipments are placed in proper storage.
- Coordinate outgoing shipments for the site on an as-needed basis.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A high school diploma or GED is required
- Having an Associate's degree or undergraduate degree in a business or science-related field would be a plus
- 3-5+ years of experience in inventory control, procurement, shipping, and receiving preferred
- A valid driver's license and transportation are required
- Strong computer literacy
- Highly motivated individual who demonstrates initiative and ownership
