About the role

  • Lead the tubing portfolio for use in biopharma production applications, including portfolio management, strategy development, pricing, life cycle management and growth.
  • Function as the business owner with P&L responsibility, meeting or exceeding revenue and gross margin targets and leading all aspects of the business.
  • Develop market, competitor, product and capability positioning; provide revenue and unit/capacity forecasting and identify business priorities and pricing strategies.
  • Identify, establish, and lead strategic collaborations with customers, suppliers, and industry opinion leaders.
  • Partner with sales to define go-to-market efforts and implement commercial strategies with commercial teams.
  • Drive demand through impactful sales and marketing campaigns to enhance market share and customer satisfaction for single use products.
  • Participate in senior leadership team meetings and strategic planning; set objectives and take accountability for implementation and results.
  • Work collaboratively in a highly matrixed organization to drive cross-business unit and divisional initiatives.
  • Serve as single use subject matter expert and represent Avantor at conferences and tradeshows; effectively communicate product strategy and tactics to the market.

Requirements

  • Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Required Experience (5+ YRS): Product management, sales and/or marketing experience in the life sciences industry.
  • Preferred Experience: With Biopharmaceutical tubing technologies for bioprocessing applications.
  • Technical or commercial experience with Biopharmaceutical tubing or single use products and applications.
  • Financial (P&L) experience.
  • Business case development/articulation experience.
  • Guiding objective decision making processes.
  • Analytical experience.
  • Technical experience/competence with bioproduction.
  • Project management and planning skill experience.
  • Decision making and experience adapting to change.
  • Business level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in a matrixed organizational structure.
  • Travel: Up to 10% both domestic and global.
  • Location preference: USA/remote (Chicago IL area highly preferred).
