About the role

  • Develop technical projects, solution schematics and block diagrams to represent the solutions offered to customers.
  • Prepare the basis of technical and commercial proposals by conducting surveys, technical inspections, project analysis, RFPs, public tenders and specification documents, as well as the resulting estimates.
  • Attend meetings with internal and external customers.
  • Assess the technical feasibility of opportunities and competitive bidding processes.
  • Review product and service quotations through interaction with suppliers.
  • Ensure that specialized technical solutions for Audio and Video systems and automation are optimal.

Requirements

  • Video Systems: Knowledge of transmission protocols (HDBaseT, SDVoE, NDI), resolutions (4K, 8K), image processing and digital signage.
  • Audio Systems: Fundamentals of acoustics, gain structure, microphone systems, mixing and, critically, DSP (Digital Signal Processing) and audio-over-IP protocols such as Dante or AES67.
  • Infrastructure and Networks (AV over IP): Today AV runs on the network. It is essential to understand switches, VLANs, QoS and bandwidth requirements to ensure audio and video traffic does not compromise the client’s network.
  • Control and Automation: Understanding of programming logic and user interfaces (UI/UX) for control systems (Crestron, Extron, Q-SYS).
  • Unified Communications (UC): Knowledge of Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, Zoom Phone & Zoom Meetings, Google Workspace, Avaya OneCloud, Unify (Atos), RingCentral, AudioCodes.
  • Sizing/Dimensioning: Ability to calculate optimal screen size based on viewing distance (DISCAS standards) or speaker placement for uniform coverage.
  • Creation of BOM (Bill of Materials): Prepare detailed materials lists, ensuring no cable, connector or mounting hardware is omitted.
  • Certifications: AVIXA CTS, AVIXA CTS-D, Dante (Level 1, 2, 3), etc.
