About the role
- Manage and oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analyses.
- Coordinate month-end and year-end close processes ensuring compliance with GAAP.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial planning, as well as GSA reporting
- Day to day use of Deltek Costpoint
- Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and systems.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- MUST have experience with Deltek Costpoint
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Experience with audit processes and internal controls.
