Job Level

About the role

  • As Senior Level Designer you’ll design and build engaging spaces and experiences using our proprietary engine to primarily compose layouts and complement them with lighter scripting.
  • Close collaboration with Art, Narrative and other Design disciplines (i.e. Mission, World and Game Design) is needed to realise the vision of the game and to deliver locations that balance visuals and gameplay requirements equally.

Requirements

  • You have a good understanding of how to build for emergent situations and support systemic gameplay systems with your layouts. Building for player opportunities and multiple possible approaches instead of one predefined solution.
  • You have great understanding of dependencies and associated workflows of other departments
  • Highly proficient with 3D level design tools and familiar with visual scripting workflows.
  • You have previous experience working as a Level Designer in the game industry, ideally having worked on an open-world title.
Benefits
  • Note: Research shows under-represented groups in the industry might not apply to a job if they don’t check off every requirement. At Avalanche, we’re more about your drive to learn and interest in tackling challenges than what’s on your resume! So don’t stress if you don’t tick every box— shoot us your application anyway! Diverse opinions and different experiences are what make our teams so great, not itemized lists of qualifications.
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this role.
