About the role

  • In this role, you will contribute to developing and optimising our backend platform, Apex Connect, and its infrastructure in the cloud.
  • Apex Connect is an integral part of the Apex Engine suite, a robust set of tools and services driving our live-service games.
  • It plays a pivotal role in engaging millions of active players globally, providing essential services such as user authentication, data tracking, live event management, and advanced matchmaking.
  • As a Cloud Engineer, you will be a part of our engineering team, focusing on setting up, operating, and refining our infrastructure in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience with cloud or hybrid infrastructure (preferably GCP)
  • Able to set and explain measurable goals for service quality
  • Experience with Redis, Memcache, or equivalent
  • Experience working with package management and dependency
  • Proficiency with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Professional experience with one or more of the following programming languages Python, Go or C++
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Chef, etc.)
  • A solid understanding of software architecture
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

  • Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana and Google Cloud Monitoring
  • Experience with Cloudflare DNS and Cloudflare DDoS protection products
  • A passion and interest in gaming
