About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for customers and internal teams while supporting a 24x7x365 production platform
  • Monitors system health, troubleshooting issues, managing incidents, and ensuring reliable application performance
  • Acts as a key interface with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Monitors system health, performance, and alerts using enterprise tools (e.g., Splunk, Grafana, New Relic)
  • Supports batch and real-time processing; troubleshoots failures and reprocesses as needed
  • Investigates production issues and manages escalations
  • Validates processing results and ensures system stability
  • Performs FTP/file transfer support (including credential updates)
  • Participates in rotating on-call support
  • Provides timely, professional communication with customers
  • Educates users and improves self-service capability
  • Documents incidents, resolutions, and processes
  • Maintains knowledge base and support procedures
  • Follows SLAs and operational standards
  • Collaborates across teams to resolve issues
  • Automates manual tasks where possible
  • Performs root cause analysis
  • Handles multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate degree in Computer Science or related field OR equivalent experience
  • 2–5 years in application/production support (Tier 1/2)
  • SQL and database knowledge (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems
  • Understanding of programming concepts (Java, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, SolarWinds, New Relic)
  • File transfer (FTP) experience
  • Basic cloud knowledge (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical ability
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
