About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the design, implementation, manage, support and operation of cloud-native infrastructure and container orchestration platforms
- Drive platform reliability, scalability, automation, and operational excellence across critical SaaS and cloud-based workloads
- Work closely with Cloud Architecture, Security, and Engineering teams to modernize infrastructure
- Implement best practices, enable application teams through self-service and platform capabilities
- Contribute to architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and ensure alignment with security, compliance, and operational standards
- Design, deploy, and manage production-grade Kubernetes clusters
- Build and maintain containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes best practices
- Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Develop reusable modules and automation frameworks to enable self-service infrastructure
- Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support containerized application delivery
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for Kubernetes workloads and infrastructure
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement efforts
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, providing technical guidance and career development support
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- 5–7 years of progressive experience in cloud, DevOps, or platform engineering roles
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes including production cluster operations
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker
- Deep experience with AWS, including Amazon EKS
- Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation)
- Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, or similar)
- Strong scripting and automation experience (Python, Bash, or similar)
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
- Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and root cause analysis experience
- Excellent communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Kubernetes-specific certifications such as CKA/CKAD) preferred
- Experience implementing security best practices for Kubernetes (RBAC, network policies, secrets management) preferred
- Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd) preferred
- Experience with multi-cluster or hybrid Kubernetes environments preferred
