About the role
- Lead the German finance organization: You will take full responsibility for accounting, controlling, and reporting in Germany, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and scalability as the business grows.
- Drive finance transformation: Lead and contribute to group-wide initiatives that modernize finance systems, automate processes, and strengthen data-driven reporting and analytics.
- Ensure regulatory excellence: Be accountable for compliance with German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS, ensuring robust financial governance in a complex regulatory environment.
- Own key external relationships: Act as the primary point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions in Germany. Work with investment banks and corporate finance advisors, managing these partnerships with confidence and credibility.
- Develop high-performing teams: Mentor and grow a strong finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with leadership: Work closely with senior stakeholders across the business to support strategic decisions and translate financial insights into actionable recommendations.
Requirements
- Strong finance leadership background: You hold a professional accounting qualification and have more than ten years of experience in finance roles, including senior leadership positions with significant transformation or project responsibility.
- Technical excellence: Deep, hands-on knowledge of IFRS and the ability to handle complex accounting topics in a fast-paced environment.
- International mindset: Fluent in German and English and comfortable working with both local and international stakeholders.
- Hands-on and pragmatic approach: Combine strategic thinking with operational execution and take pleasure in driving change rather than only defining it.
- Business-oriented leadership style: Analytically strong, commercially minded, and an effective business partner who inspires trust, empowers teams, and leads change with energy and authenticity.
