About the role

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable machine learning models to optimize vehicle selling and demand management
  • Identify business opportunities and collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into machine learning solutions that drives growth and impact
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deploy Data Science services and embed them in the Auto1 tech infrastructure
  • Monitor and improve model performance in production, communicate results with stakeholders and develop actionable next steps
  • Mentor and support junior data scientists, setting technical direction and ensuring best practices

Requirements

  • At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience with a broad range of machine learning techniques including traditional machine learning and neural network
  • Strong background in statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and experimental design (including A/B testing)
  • Deep expertise in Python, SQL, and machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, Keras, TensorFlow) with coding best practices and code reviews in git/github
  • Proven track record of managing the complete lifecycle of data science projects, from initial design and development to deploying robust models in production, leveraging cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Strong communication and visualization skills, with experience presenting both to peers and to executive and non-technical audiences in a clear and unambiguous way
  • Experience in effective collaboration, you are a natural team player and communicate fluently in English.
