About the role

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable machine learning models to optimize vehicle sales and demand management
  • Identify business opportunities and collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into machine learning solutions that drive growth and impact
  • Work closely with engineering and product teams to deliver data science services and integrate them into the Auto1 tech infrastructure
  • Monitor and improve model performance in production, communicate results to stakeholders, and define actionable next steps
  • Mentor and support junior Data Scientists, set technical direction, and ensure best practices

Requirements

  • At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience with a broad range of machine learning techniques, including traditional machine learning and neural networks
  • Strong background in statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and experimental design (including A/B testing)
  • Deep expertise in Python, SQL, and machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, Keras, TensorFlow), with coding best practices and code reviews using git/GitHub
  • Proven track record of managing the full lifecycle of data science projects, from initial design and development to deploying robust models in production, using cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong communication and visualization skills, with experience presenting to both peers and senior and non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner
  • Experience collaborating effectively; you are a natural team player and fluent in English.
