About the role
- Thorough analysis of credit applications and assessment of the financial stability and creditworthiness of car dealerships
- Review financial reports, credit records and other relevant documents to evaluate the risk associated with each application
- Collaborate with the sales team to gather additional information and clarify any discrepancies in credit applications
- Make informed decisions regarding credit limits and terms, ensuring they align with company policies and risk appetite
- Monitor dealers' ongoing creditworthiness as required and conduct regular reviews
- Provide exceptional customer service by handling dealers' inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
- Work with our collections team on delinquent and non-paying dealers
Requirements
- Vocational training in finance/banking (e.g., bank clerk)
- Proven experience as a credit officer or in a similar role, preferably in the automotive industry
- Knowledge of credit analysis, risk assessment and analysis of financial statements
- Familiarity with dealer financing is desirable
- Attention to detail and strong analytical skills, with the ability to make well-founded credit decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with car dealerships
- Very good written and spoken German and English; additional languages are a plus
