About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • **Modeling and Visualization (Looker):** Develop and maintain the semantic layer in Looker (LookML), creating Explores, Views and Dashboards that enable business stakeholders to make data-driven decisions (self-service BI).
  • **Data Manipulation (SQL & GCP):** Write complex, optimized SQL queries in **BigQuery** to transform raw data into actionable insights.
  • **Advanced Analysis and Automation (Python):** Use Python (Pandas, NumPy, API libraries) to perform deep exploratory analyses, create automation scripts, or build lightweight data pipelines when necessary.
  • **Data Quality:** Proactively identify data inconsistencies and collaborate with the Data Engineering team to ensure the integrity of the Data Warehouse.
  • **Business Liaison:** Translate business questions (Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance) into clear and efficient technical data solutions.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • **Advanced SQL:** Mastery of Window Functions, CTEs, complex joins, and query performance optimization (preferably in the GoogleSQL/BigQuery dialect).
  • **Looker Enterprise:** Proven experience developing in **LookML** (creating dimensions, measures, derived tables) for Looker Cloud and Looker Studio.
  • **Python:** Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and scripting.
  • **GCP Ecosystem:** Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform, specifically BigQuery.
  • **Analytical Thinking:** Ability to break down complex problems into smaller parts and apply structured logic.
  • **Google:** Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
  • Previous experience as a Data Analyst or Business Analyst.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data analysis results clearly.
