Engineering Manager

Senior Engineering Manager – Cloud, Platform

Developer Relations

• Collaborate with the Lead Developer Advocate to shape advocacy strategy, quarterly priorities, and long-term vision.
• Define and track success metrics for advocacy initiatives, iterating based on developer engagement and product outcomes.
• Act as a technical authority for our products and technologies, producing opinionated technical content (e.g. webinars, tutorials, sample apps, reference architectures, and integrations).
• Serve as a conduit of feedback to Product/Engineering by turning external observations into actionable recommendations.
• Regularly engage with developers in physical communities (like KubeCon) and via social media channels (Reddit, Linkedin, HackerNews, DevTo).
• Be the voice of all things AuthZed, nurturing community engagement to foster adoption of SpiceDB OSS and our enterprise services.

Senior Developer Advocate

Full-stack Engineer

• Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs that power AuthZed Cloud’s control plane.
• Build and operate Kubernetes-native systems, including custom operators and controllers, to manage customer environments and infrastructure lifecycle.
• Design durable, idempotent workflows for provisioning, configuration changes, scaling, and deletion.
• Implement and integrate authentication and identity flows (e.g., SSO, SAML, OAuth/OIDC) in a secure, multi-tenant SaaS environment.
• Implement and evolve usage-based billing systems.
• Engineer distributed systems that behave correctly under partial failure, retries, concurrency, and long-running operations.
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers to design APIs and workflows that result in clear, reliable user experiences.

Senior Software Engineer – Control Plane

DevOps Engineer

• Lead a global team of Site Reliability Engineers delivering infrastructure automation, observability, and operational scalability across multi-cloud and multi-region kubernetes based architectures.
• Recruit, hire, onboard and develop engineers while elevating the overall strength of the team.
• Act as a player coach by contributing to critical projects while mentoring engineers and supporting their professional growth.
• Participate in on-call rotations at a sustainable level to stay grounded in real operational issues.
• Guide project planning by defining milestones, identifying dependencies, and working toward timely and meaningful delivery.
• Identify toil and lead initiatives to eliminate it through engineering solutions.
• Drive automation and platform engineering: safer deploys, progressive delivery, guardrails, and paved paths that reduce toil.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to ship features like self-service workflows and infra-as-code expectations with reliability baked in.
• Serve as a senior escalation point for complex incident triage and root cause analysis.

Engineering Manager – SRE

Solutions Engineer

• Daily collaboration with Account Executives in a pre-sales role to understand and document customer technical requirements, performance Service Level Objectives (SLOs), consistency requirements, and software architecture
• Translation of complex technical details for a variety of stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and understanding across teams
• Building live permissions schema design sessions, tailored solutions leveraging our products, and designing Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate solutions with prospects
• Leading virtual and in-person demos and deep-dive technical sessions
• Identifying product gaps and communicating these to our product team to help shape the future of our offerings
• Creation, improvement, and maintenance of dynamic customer demos, troubleshooting technical issues to ensure customer success
• Long-term customer success in the post-sales role for all accounts assigned

Account Executive

• Drive complex sales cycles with enterprise customers, from initial prospecting to long-term relationship growth
• Build, execute, and maintain account plans that ensure sustained value for customers throughout our customer lifecycle
• Source leads yourself and work with a BDR to develop new opportunities
• Partner with Solutions Engineers to demonstrate technical value and address complex customer requirements
• Work with Customer Success Engineers to ensure smooth onboarding, adoption, and expansion
• Own and drive the execution of complex sales engagements as a project manager, ensuring seamless coordination between internal and external stakeholders
• Develop multi-threaded relationships within target accounts—working with technical champions, business sponsors, and executive buyers to drive deal success
• Maintain CRM discipline and accurate forecasting to ensure predictable revenue outcomes
• Identify opportunities to refine sales processes, improve execution efficiency, and provide feedback to sales enablement.

• Management of our ATS (Ashby) end-to-end: You’ll treat it as our single source of truth for all hiring activity including job postings, candidate tracking, data accuracy, and reporting
• Interview scheduling: You’ll orchestrate interviews across busy teams and schedules, anticipating roadblocks before they happen, and ensure every candidate and interviewer is properly prepared for each interview.
• Partnership with hiring managers: You’ll work hand-in-hand with hiring managers, translating hiring goals into action and keeping momentum high as we scale. to support their hiring needs and keep interview processes moving efficiently.
• Optimization of our hiring processes: As we grow, you’ll have the opportunity to spot what’s not working–and fix it. You’ll notice where processes, tools, and workflows can be improved or become more efficient, to help us make hiring decisions better and faster.

Recruiting Coordinator

Performance Marketing

• Build new and improve existing campaigns across paid search, paid social, programmatic display, ABM, and/or sponsored publisher channels
• Help manage paid digital strategy to assist in building sales pipeline by driving high quality leads to our Sales team
• Leverage the customer’s buyer’s journey to architect innovative multi-channel engagement programs that will lead customer prospects through the sales funnel (inquiry through closed-won)
• Manage marketing programs in HubSpot for email campaigns, event promotion, event follow up, drip email nurture series, webinars, and content
• Work closely with content and design teams to create landing pages for webinar, event registration and gated content
• Maintain marketing database segmentation to ensure any communications delivered are relevant to the audience receiving them
• Analyze email, webinar, and campaign performance with an eye towards continuous improvement, and sharing insights across the team
• Create and orchestrate prospect-facing campaigns across multiple audiences and channels
• Create reports that measure the impact of your campaigns, and proactively recommend new tests and tactics to maximize their impact
