About the role
- Manage and monitor Member compliance with AP+ Scheme Rules, including due diligence, annual attestations and remediation activities.
- Coordinate and resolve non-compliance cases and tickets within agreed SLAs, recommending appropriate consequence management actions.
- Provide specialist interpretation and advice on Scheme Rules and compliance frameworks to Members and internal stakeholders.
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions regarding breaches, remediation plans, exemptions and risk prioritisation.
- Maintain accurate compliance registers, governance documentation and audit-ready records.
- Prepare and deliver compliance reporting, analyse trends and provide insights to management and relevant forums.
- Draft and issue Member communications relating to compliance matters and regulatory obligations.
- Contribute to quality assurance activities, identifying control gaps and process improvement opportunities.
- Support incident and problem management activities related to Member compliance matters.
- Collaborate cross-functionally (Product, Legal, Payment Operations, Commercial, Fraud) to support organisation-wide initiatives and strengthen compliance outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years working in compliance in either the payments industry or financial services
- In depth understanding of the regulatory landscape of either the payments industry, banking or financial services.
- Strong understanding of effective risk and control frameworks is a must.
- Familiarity with regulatory and legal requirements relating to the Financial Services industry.
- Effective workflow management to SLA’s.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, advanced degree or certification in management is a plus.
