About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate and administer the agency’s property portfolio, including:
  • Maintaining property management documentation, including the agency’s Strategic Property Plan
  • Managing leases across the agency's metropolitan and regional property portfolio
  • Oversee financial management, tracking and reporting of lease related expenditure.
  • Effectively managing the agency’s Whole of Australian Government Property Services Provider (PSP)
  • Managing the agency’s properties and facilities, including:
  • Coordinating preventative and reactive facility management services through the PSP
  • Overseeing property operations and delivering related projects, including fit-out and relocations
  • Maintaining the office emergency management functions, including wardens, training and evacuation exercises
  • Coordinating agency reporting, including the annual Australian Government Property Register and Emissions Reporting processes.
  • Manage corporate services arrangements, including:
  • Mail and courier services (via the shared services arrangement)
  • WoAG stationery and office supplies arrangements
  • Uniform arrangements.
  • Undertake procurement and contract management activities in accordance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules
  • Develop, implement and review corporate policies and training activities related to the above responsibilities.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • NV1 level security clearance is required for this role
  • Experience in a similar role or comparable duties
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise autonomy and initiative in team management while allocating resources and managing priorities to meet objectives
  • Ability to work closely and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve agency objectives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Quality assurance, monitoring and compliance skills
  • Demonstrated ability to provide significant contribution to innovation and business improvement strategies
  • The ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and escalate as required
  • Demonstrated resilience and ability to work in an agile mindset, adapting to new and changing priorities.
