• Help build the mission-critical Remote Assist service used to support Aurora’s autonomous fleet.
• Work across a complex tech stack with frontend, backend, and onboard systems working together.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code to ensure we maintain a reliable service.
• Gain deep experience with a variety of technologies like Typescript, React, Golang, gRPC, C++, and AWS.

Software Engineer I – Remote Assist

• Architect and build scalable cloud backend services that power real-time session management for autonomous vehicles requesting assistance and human operators providing assistance.
• Leverage operational and technical data to optimize the efficiency of Command Center operations through intelligent real-time matching assignments.
• Develop and deploy robust, well-engineered solutions, leveraging modern cloud technologies and building highly available, low-latency backend services, APIs, and data pipelines.
• Provide technical leadership and influence best practices across multiple engineering teams at the intersection of cloud services and real-world autonomy.
• Mentor and grow senior engineers, raising the technical bar for the entire organization through code reviews, design discussions, and promoting a culture of engineering excellence.
• Partner with leaders across autonomy, cloud infrastructure, and operations to define technical roadmaps, align on priorities, and drive complex projects from inception to completion.
