About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Productise Aurora’s asset dispatch capability into a coherent programmatic surface for Chronos.
- Decide which Chronos problems belong on the API and which should be served through applications, files, scheduled outputs, agent tooling, or other experiences.
- Run API-specific discovery into endpoint, feed, and integration requests, underlying workflows, decision constraints, and reusable programmatic needs.
- Shape the API contract jointly with engineering as both technical architecture and product design.
- Own the developer experience as a product.
- Define version guarantees, assess consumer impact, plan deprecation timelines, and manage migrations.
- Ensure Asset Dispatch composes with Aurora’s wider programmatic offering through shared concepts and conventions.
- Engage commercial, legal, entitlement, and enablement stakeholders early.
- Communicate product direction and trade-offs to senior stakeholders and support go-to-market teams with product narratives and demos.
- Deliver agreed outcomes during the fixed-term maternity cover period.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Proven experience taking a developer-facing API or platform product from initial discovery through adoption by external users.
- Ability to engage deeply in technical design discussions.
- Comfort testing endpoints, critiquing documentation, and evaluating API contract proposals firsthand.
- Demonstrated ability to identify stable, reusable concepts within varied user requests.
- Ability to distinguish core product capabilities from implementation details and avoid unnecessary complexity or customer-specific exceptions.
- Experience investigating workflows and decision-making needs behind integration requests.
- Ability to triangulate qualitative user feedback with quantitative usage data.
- Track record of quickly mastering complex technical or economic domains such as energy markets, financial modelling, or multi-dimensional datasets.
- Ability to sequence work based on value, evidence, and technical/adoption risk.
- Desirable: energy market modelling, battery storage, or financial benchmarking experience.
- Desirable: developer experience involving documentation, sandboxing, and onboarding flows.
- Desirable: competitive analysis experience.
- Desirable: B2B product migration or adoption-program experience.
