About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work closely with business divisions to understand decision-making and insight goals, define KPIs, translate requirements into clear user stories, and shape solutions that support better business outcomes.
  • Build and maintain high-quality Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models using curated Microsoft Fabric data assets, applying strong visual design, usability, and performance practices.
  • Create robust, reusable semantic models and measures that support consistent insight delivery across teams, using sound modelling principles, DAX, and a strong understanding of business definitions.
  • Document insight solutions, data definitions, assumptions, and usage guidance; support adoption; and work within agreed governance standards for workspace management, data access, and solution lifecycle.
  • Provide feedback on data quality, modelling needs, and new data and insight requirements so that upstream Fabric gold data products continue to meet business insight needs.
  • Help improve delivery standards, reusable assets, and ways of working across the Data and Insights team, with a focus on consistency, trust, and maintainability.

  • Comfort working across multiple priorities with strong organisation, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Strong SQL and Excel skills for data exploration, validation, and reconciliation.
