About the role
- Based in Melbourne, Australia, contribute to the firm by developing analysis and conveying insights to enhance clients’ decision-making as they navigate the energy transition.
- Play an active role in all aspects of client engagement: helping identify issues, forming hypotheses, conducting analysis, and synthesizing conclusions into recommendations.
- Work in a dynamic, intellectually stimulating, and demanding yet supportive environment with autonomy and opportunity to influence major decisions; grow into industry experts under the guidance of experienced directors.
- Position suits either a recent STEM graduate of a bachelor’s or master’s program or a professional with up to three years of experience in the energy sector, management consulting, financial services or a similar field.
Requirements
- Required attributes:
- First-class or high second-class degree in a quantitative subject (Mathematics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, Finance), coupled with a keen interest in energy markets and policy developments
- 1-2 years of work experience in the energy sector or another professional field
- An ability to collect, analyse and interpret complex quantitative data and information
- Evidence of strong performance in team-oriented environments
- An ability to communicate and collaborate with both technical and non-technical parties
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Desirable attributes:
- Fluency in a second language beneficial but not essential
- Skills in data analytics and related software (e.g. Python, Excel, SQL, Power BI)
- Existing knowledge or experience in the power sector or a related field
