About the role

  • Act directly and operationally in leading procurement processes for energy projects and generation asset operations, ensuring the supply of critical equipment, materials and services within schedule, cost and technical requirements, with strong focus on negotiation, contract management and risk mitigation.
  • Personally lead strategic and critical purchasing processes for CAPEX and OPEX for energy projects and operations.
  • Structure and execute RFIs, RFQs and RFPs for equipment and services such as:
  • Major equipment (wind turbines, PV modules, inverters, BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), transformers, cables, substations).
  • Engineering services, civil works, electromechanical installation, commissioning and maintenance.
  • Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with domestic and international suppliers.
  • Prepare technical-commercial comparison matrices and executive contracting recommendations.
  • Work from the supply planning phase of the project, defining procurement strategies and packages.
  • Interface daily with Engineering, Projects, PMO, Operations, Legal, Tax and Finance.
  • Monitor supply schedules, contractual milestones, logistics and on-site deliveries.
  • Anticipate supply chain risks (lead time, production capacity, logistics, currency exposure, critical suppliers).
  • Execute recurring and emergency purchases for operating sites and plants, ensuring asset availability.
  • Work on O&M contracts, critical spare parts, specialized technical services and scheduled outages.
  • Support the structuring of umbrella agreements, SLAs and material catalogs.
  • Coordinate a lean team of buyers/analysts with close, technical involvement.
  • Serve as a hands-on reference in negotiations, contract structuring and decision-making.
  • Ensure adherence to procurement policies, compliance and internal controls, with a pragmatic approach.
  • Actively use procurement and contract systems (SAP, Coupa or similar).
  • Contribute to process improvements focused on speed, clarity and risk reduction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics or related fields.
  • Solid experience in Procurement with direct involvement in energy projects.
  • Hands-on experience purchasing critical generation equipment and services.
  • Experience in complex negotiations, high-value contracts and strategic suppliers.
  • Sourcing strategies applied to energy projects.
  • Commercial and contractual negotiation (CAPEX and OPEX).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical scopes and project schedules.
  • Contract management, payment milestone and supply risk management.
  • Purchasing ERP (SAP, Coupa or similar).
