About the role

  • Conduct ecological surveys and species assessments across terrestrial and freshwater habitats
  • Provide authoritative identification and management guidance on native, non-native, and invasive species
  • Shape conservation and biodiversity strategies by reviewing specialist reports
  • Establish rigorous protection and salvaging standards for trees, flora, and saplings

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, Forestry, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in ecological work, with a focus on flora
  • ISA Certified Arborist (required)
  • Proven experience in conducting fieldwork, particularly flora or tree surveys
  • Strong knowledge of plant identification and ecological assessment methodologies
  • Experience supporting or preparing Environmental Impact Assessments is preferred
