About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Help track new hire onboarding progress and ensure attention to details before start date
- Coordinate equipment ordering and follow up on delivery for incoming employees
- Monitor completion of required new hire training
- Track new hire survey responses and update internal records
- Assist with routine compliance audits and track employee data
- Support payroll-adjacent processes including preparing employee roster updates
- Maintain and update employee records and internal HR trackers
Requirements
What you’ll need- Based in Chicago or the Midwest
- Background or genuine interest in Human Resources or People Operations
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable juggling multiple tasks and systems
- Discreet and trustworthy in handling confidential information
- Self-starter able to own tasks independently
- Strong written communication skills
- Prior experience with HR systems or office administration is a plus
