About the role
- Report to President and Chief Product Officer and lead Kigo's data science organization to build AI-driven loyalty platform capabilities
- Hands-on development of predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and advanced statistical analysis for customer behavior, churn prediction, and personalization
- Build internal data science capabilities and manage contractor relationships and vendor partnerships; establish methodologies and governance
- Design and implement business intelligence solutions using Power BI, Tableau, and advanced SQL; leverage web/app analytics to optimize customer journeys and measure campaign effectiveness
- Conduct deep-dive statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, A/B testing frameworks, and build data products combining ML modeling with real-time optimization
- Oversee enterprise-scale data science infrastructure on AWS including model deployment, monitoring, and real-time scoring systems
- Partner with Product, Sales, and Strategic Partnerships to embed predictive models into business processes and develop customer-facing analytics products
Requirements
- 6-8 years of combined experience in data science, machine learning, and statistical analysis with 3+ years in leadership building data capabilities
- Deep expertise in statistical modeling, ML algorithms, Python or R, and advanced SQL
- Experience with AWS data services (SageMaker, EMR, Redshift) and enterprise model deployment/monitoring
- Proficiency with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) and web/app analytics (Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
- Experience designing A/B testing frameworks, experimentation strategies, and real-time optimization
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset, self-starter mentality, and ability to manage contractor/vendor relationships and cross-functional collaboration
- 5+ years driving revenue growth through data products, analytics, and optimization in e-commerce, digital advertising, or loyalty platforms
- Exceptional communication skills for C-level executives and external stakeholders; ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Preferred: Degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or related quantitative field; experience with loyalty/rewards platforms, financial services, or customer data platforms; industry thought leadership
