About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and grow Audon’s programs in the Rockies region
- Ensure impact toward the organization’s strategic plan
- Advance habitat, climate, policy, and community building strategies
- Collaborate closely with regional staff and partners
- Manage the program’s budget and drive public funding opportunities
- Deliver strategic and operational excellence through the leadership of staff spread across three states
- Build and maintain relationships with key leaders in government and non-governmental organizations
- Support a culture of philanthropy across the team and organization
Requirements
What you’ll need- 15+ years' progressive, professional experience in organizational leadership
- Five plus years in a leadership position
- Experience in conservation, environmental policy and advocacy
- Knowledge of how conservation work is advanced in CO, UT, or WY preferred
- Excellent advocacy skills
- Strong communication and story-telling skills
- Commitment to Audon’s organizational values of care, collaboration, change, integrity, impact, and innovation
- Demonstrated experience raising funds from a variety of sources strongly preferred
