About the role
- Who We Are: AuditBoard – leading audit, risk, ESG, and InfoSec SaaS platform serving over 50% of the Fortune 500
- Provide counseling to channel sales regarding global partner programs and related legal risks
- Draft, review, and negotiate partnership and alliance agreements and program documentation (resale, subcontractor, referral, SI, MSP, marketplace, technology partnerships, APIs, developer programs)
- Respond promptly to legal advice requests and communicate legal concepts to business teams
- Support continuous improvement of standard agreements, negotiation playbooks, contract templates, and legal processes
- Triage heavy workflow, prioritize with internal clients, and deliver results efficiently
- Draft and negotiate channel-related agreements including reseller, referral, professional services, MSP, SOWs, and NDAs
- Support channel sales and leadership domestically and internationally
Requirements
- 5+ years of in-house experience required; technology company experience preferred
- Strong emphasis on strategic alliances and negotiating a high volume of complex partner agreements
- Experience supporting partner programs and advising on laws and regulations affecting channel sales
- Familiarity with and working knowledge of privacy and information security legal issues for data protection and information security agreements
- Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law in at least one U.S. state
- Ability to work independently on a remote basis and as a member of a team
- Strong familiarity with the SaaS business model and channel partnerships at scale
- Experience with Distributors and International Markets
- Knowledge of anti-bribery/anti-corruption, third-party risk, and antitrust/competition law
