About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as the senior Attentive leader in Australia, taking full ownership of the region’s commercial performance, market presence and strategic direction
  • Operate with a regional leader mindset, proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and operational improvements across the entire APAC operation, not just sales
  • Directly lead and manage the sales team to consistently meet or exceed revenue targets
  • Develop and execute sales strategies tailored to the Australian and APAC market that align with Attentive’s global objectives
  • Drive the transition from a single-product SMS motion to a multi-product platform strategy encompassing SMS, Email and AI products
  • Build and maintain a deep understanding of Attentive’s product suite, competitive landscape and market trends to effectively position solutions
  • Establish and maintain rigorous forecasting, pipeline management and deal review processes
  • Set clear, measurable expectations and build a culture of accountability, coaching and continuous improvement within the sales team
  • Build strong working relationships with the Australia-based Customer Success, Customer Support, Implementation and Sales Development teams, influencing priorities and ensuring alignment even without direct line management
  • Act as the local coordination point across all functions, ensuring the customer experience in Australia is seamless from prospect through to long-term retention
  • Partner with functional leaders in the UK and US to ensure Australian team priorities are understood, resourced and integrated into global planning
  • Develop and strengthen executive-level relationships with strategic clients and key accounts across the Australian & APAC market
  • Represent Attentive at industry events, client engagements and in the broader Australian market to build brand credibility and pipeline
  • Serve as the primary escalation point and decision-maker on the ground for day-to-day regional matters
  • Provide regional context and market intelligence to global leadership to inform company-wide strategy and investment decisions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of B2B enterprise SaaS sales experience, with at least 3+ years in a senior sales leadership role managing teams of quota-carrying sellers
  • Demonstrated ability to operate beyond a pure sales remit, comfortable influencing cross-functional teams, navigating matrix structures and taking ownership of broad regional outcomes
  • Track record of developing and executing sales strategies that consistently deliver against ambitious targets in a high-growth environment
  • Experience leading a multi-product sales motion or transitioning a team from single-product to platform selling is highly desirable
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to build and maintain relationships with C-suite decision-makers and senior stakeholders
  • Proven ability to build, coach and scale high-performing sales teams with a strong emphasis on accountability and development
  • Excellent operational and analytical capabilities, rigorous on pipeline, forecasting and data-driven decision-making
  • Strong commercial acumen and business judgement, with the ability to think strategically about market positioning, competitive dynamics and growth levers
  • Excellent structured communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization
  • Deep understanding of the Australian market landscape and buyer behavior within the enterprise and mid-market space is a strong advantage.
