About the role
- Lead the strategy and execution for how Attentive ingests, normalizes, and structures customers’ product catalog data to power intelligent recommendations and segmentation
- Partner with Data Science to define the roadmap for algorithmic recommendation strategies within messages and across channels
- Define targeting strategies that leverage customers’ affinity to products or categories for more personalized messaging
- Own all UI/UX features that help customers understand, configure, and test recommendations
- Craft and drive a multi-year strategy for recommendations
- Translate ambiguous customer needs and competitive signals into clear, prioritized roadmaps
- Partner closely with Data Science, Engineering, Design, and GTM to deliver high-impact features
- Develop objective frameworks for measuring model performance, customer adoption, and trust
- Operate with high autonomy, making crisp decisions and tradeoffs in the face of complexity
- Serve as the internal evangelist for Product Recommendations across Attentive, enabling CS, Sales, and Marketing to confidently position our capabilities
- Help customers understand why recommendations are effective and when they should be used
- Support experiments, betas, and staged rollouts, ensuring measurement rigor and quality
- Deeply understand the ecommerce ecosystem, especially product feeds, personalization engines, and customer lifecycle marketing
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of Product Management experience, ideally with product recommendations
- Experience shipping algorithm-driven and/or personalization products at scale
- Strong product sense with the ability to simplify complexity into clear, actionable roadmaps
- Fluency partnering with Data Science teams—comfortable setting goals, reviewing model outputs, and translating performance into roadmap decisions
- Proven track record of driving adoption, crafting compelling narratives, and enabling GTM success
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with executive-ready clarity
- Thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and can drive decisions without perfect data
- Experience in ecommerce, rec engines, identity/graph systems, or CDPs is a plus
