About the role

  • Lead full projects or portfolios, ensuring successful execution across all workstreams.
  • Develop strategic project approaches, methodologies, and frameworks.
  • Oversee all major deliverables and ensure alignment with client goals and organizational standards.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the project, including event planning, overseeing project activities, coordinating team members, and ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, critical milestones and key deliverables.
  • Serve as the primary client relationship manager.
  • Lead high-level presentations, briefings, and strategic discussions.
  • Identify opportunities for expanded support and long-term partnerships.
  • Supervise and mentor Managers, Associates, and Analysts.
  • Provide performance feedback and support professional development.
  • Contribute to internal initiatives, process improvements, and organizational strategy.
  • Lead proposal development, including technical strategy, pricing input, and partnership coordination.
  • Develop thought leadership, represent the organization externally, and support brand visibility.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Oversee project budgets, staffing, and resource planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in project management, education, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of relevant project management experience; experience in education or government projects preferred.
  • PMP certification is required.
  • Advanced proficiency with Smartsheet required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project budgets.
  • Knowledge of education policies, regulations, and state or federal program requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Proven problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholder groups.
