• Provide leadership in all areas affecting Research Finance;
• Responsible for improving post award management leading to better, more standardized post award sponsored projects’ administration and compliance.
• Manages, plans, and evaluates operations to ensure financial compliance with all relevant federal (2 C.F.R. Part 200), state laws, University and Sponsor polices and regulations.
• Leads and serves as the point of contact with auditors and sponsors on all financial matters of sponsored projects.
• Responsible for the development of the post award policies and procedures in cooperation with other relevant departments.
• Responsible for the review of sponsored research contracts/agreements in cooperation with other departments, and transmittance of executed contracts/agreements to sponsors, prime institutions and sub-awardees.
• Manages month-end and fiscal year end closing process for grants and accounts receivable.

• Drive membership expansion by executing growth initiatives and staying actively engaged throughout the full business development cycle.
• Support and implement targeted outreach plans to attract key prospects within the regional tech ecosystem.
• Lead all outreach and conversion activities, including target list development, outbound sales, and seamless onboarding of new members.
• Build strong relationships with potential members through personalized outreach across multiple channels, including calls, LinkedIn, meetings, email, and networking.
• Maintain an accurate, up-to-date sales pipeline in the CRM, ensure data integrity, and generate reliable forecasts and reports for leadership.
• Implement a coordinated retention strategy, including a touchpoint calendar and automated email campaigns, to demonstrate the organization’s value and improve renewal rates.
• Track and report membership and revenue metrics to the CEO, COO, Executive Board, and Finance Committee on a monthly basis.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to design and activate/automate marketing, content, and social media initiatives that highlight the value of membership and generate qualified leads.
• Coordinate new member onboarding activities, including orientation events, communications, and follow-up to ensure a positive and informative experience

Membership Development Manager

• Identify, qualify, and close new member organizations to drive dues revenue growth
• Own and achieve annual membership revenue targets
• Prospect and generate new leads through proactive outbound outreach to senior executives, networking, referrals, and industry engagement
• Build and manage a robust sales pipeline, maintaining consistent outbound prospecting activity to generate and advance opportunities and accurate forecasting
• Conduct discovery conversations to qualify prospective members, understand their needs and effectively position the organization’s value
• Deliver compelling presentations and close new member organizations
• Maintain disciplined use of CRM tools to track pipeline, activity, and performance
• Identify and engage high-value organizations across technology, government contracting, venture, academia, and the public sector
