About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Report to the Director of Accounting
Handle month-end closing
Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations
Perform month-end close following established processes and deadlines
Perform monthly reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts, Unbilled Revenue, and Deferred Revenue
Assist the Director of Accounting with monthly tasks and projects
Apply conceptual understanding of US GAAP and IFRS to accounting tasks
Assist with financial audit preparation and testing
Maintain adequate internal controls over financial processes
Complete ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Accounting
Active CPA license is required
5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a multi-company environment
Experience with ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts and revenue recognition rules
Relevant accounting experience in technology-driven industries, Software, IT, SaaS, or Shared Services
Excellent accounting and analytical skills
Ability to quickly master job duties and take on additional responsibilities
Experience using Microsoft Excel is required
Workday experience preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced technology environment
Self-starter able to learn new accounting systems quickly with minimum supervision
Working knowledge of the month-end close process
Practical knowledge of profit margins and COGS analysis
Understanding of US GAAP and IFRS
